The Boyd Farmhouse Inn is owned and operated by the David R. and Corita Essex Boyd family.  This hotel has been a dream of this family for many years and is dedicated in their honor. We are proud to bring this hotel to life for other families and guests who want to sample the varied fun activities and sights that this Delta region can offer. 

 

As you are probably aware, farming is at our very heart here in Arkansas County and especially with the Boyd Family; we hope you see this love reflected in our farmhouse.

David and Corita were married in 1959 in DeWitt and moved to Corita's childhood home located in Almyra which was built in the 1930s by her grandparents, Jason and Maggie Essex.  David engaged in farming and Corita was employed as a World History teacher at DeWitt High School where she was Senior Class Sponsor.
